Volunteers

Wellington Riding hosts an impressive array of national and international equestrian events over the calendar year, with events frequently running both at the weekend and during the week.

Wellington Riding currently has a fantastic and hard – working team of volunteers, but we are continually looking for more and more people to help us at these events.

We do not accept volunteers under the age of 14 and those under the age of 18 are supervised by a member of staff, all of whom have been through safeguarding and CRB checks. We do not use volunteers under the age of 18 as writers.

Benefits

If you join us as a volunteer you will receive ‘on the job’ training for each discipline so previous experience is not required. This is a great first step in gaining equestrian experience.

In addition to the specific “on the job training”, there are further benefits on offer as a Wellington volunteer. New First Aid and/or Safeguarding courses will also be offered. This is a great asset to add to your CV and it will be paid for by Wellington Riding. Courses will run in Spring and Autumn, please contact the shows office for enrollment information.

All volunteers will be provided with refreshments (including lunch) throughout the competition day.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, email team here and a member of the team will be in touch.
